Report Makeover – Terms of Service

The short version

You pay once and get access to Report Makeover on up to three devices. Your documents stay on your own computer. If it is not for you, ask for a refund within 30 days and you get your money back. We provide the software as it is, we fix what we can, and our liability to you is limited to what you paid.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms are a contract between you and Report Makeover (“we”, “us”), operated from the United Kingdom, for the website and web application at reportmakeover.com (the “Service”). By buying access, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What you are buying

Report Makeover is a browser-based tool that turns your own documents into designed, branded PDF reports. A purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service for as long as we operate it. It is one payment, not a subscription. It does not include the free sample reports we may give away separately, and it does not include AI usage — the optional AI features use an account and key you hold with an AI provider, at that provider’s prices and under its terms.

3. Your account

• Your login works on up to three devices. Ask us to reset it if you change computers.
• One account is for one person or one business. Do not share your login or resell access.
• Keep your password safe. There is no reset email; if you forget it, contact us and a person will issue a new one.
• Your username and email address are fixed once the account is created.
• You must be at least 18 and using the Service for business purposes.

4. Free trial

A trial gives you full use of the Service for 30 days at no charge. When it ends the Service locks until you buy access. Nothing you made is deleted — it is on your own computer and is available again the moment you upgrade.

5. Payment, price and refunds

• The price is shown at checkout in US dollars and is taken once, by our payment processor, Stripe. Your bank may add a currency-conversion charge; that is between you and your bank.
• 30-day money-back guarantee. If Report Makeover is not for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of purchase — from the Profile Settings page or by email — and you get the full amount back. No questions, no form to argue with.
• When a refund is issued your access ends. Work saved in your browser stays where it is.
• After 30 days we are not obliged to refund, though you can still write to us and we will look.
• If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of asking us, we may suspend the account while it is resolved.

Nothing here removes the rights you have as a consumer under the law of where you live.

6. Your documents and content

Everything you open, edit, brand or export in the Service stays on your own device. We do not receive it, store it, or have any rights over it, and we are not responsible for keeping it. It is your job to keep backups — the Service has an Export feature for exactly that. Clearing your browser’s site data will delete your projects.

You confirm that you have the right to use any document, image or text you put into the Service, and that what you produce with it does not break the law or anyone else’s rights. What you make is yours; you are responsible for it and for how you sell or distribute it.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, to produce material that is illegal, defamatory or infringing, to attack or overload our systems, to probe or bypass its security, or to build a competing product from it. Do not copy, decompile or redistribute the software. We may suspend or close an account that does any of these, without refund.

8. Our software and brand

The Service, its code, design and the Report Makeover name are ours or licensed to us. Buying access does not transfer any of that to you. You may not use our name or branding to suggest we made or endorse what you produce.

9. Changes and availability

We improve the Service over time and may change or remove features. We aim to keep it available but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; the internet, browsers and third-party providers are outside our control. If we ever stop operating the Service altogether, we will give reasonable notice by email so you can export your work.

10. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those stated in these terms — including that it will suit your purpose, produce any particular result, or be free of defects. Anything you produce with it, and any decision you make based on it, is your own responsibility.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue, lost sales, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption, however it arises.
• We are not liable for loss of, or damage to, documents or projects — they are on your device and under your control, and you are responsible for backing them up.
• We are not liable for anything done by a third-party service you connect to the Service, including any AI provider.
• Our total liability to you for anything arising from the Service or these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Indemnity

If you are using the Service in the course of a business, you agree to cover us for any claim, loss or cost that arises from your content, from what you produce or distribute with the Service, or from your breach of these terms.

13. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account for breach of these terms, or where a payment is refunded or reversed. Sections 6, 8, 10, 11 and 12 continue to apply after the agreement ends.

14. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

15. General

• These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — without removing any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
• If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
• These terms are the whole agreement between us about the Service. We may update them; if a change matters, we will email account holders and update the date at the top.
